But no timeframe yet for return for Bishop, Sears and Lankester says Paul

Paul Lambert says Town’s long term injured players are making good progress but no timeframe has been set for their return.

Freddie Sears is working his way back after damaging his cruciate ligament in the derby at Norwich in February while Jack Lankester had surgery to repair a back problem in August.

Teddy Bishop has also been sidelined having sustained a knee ligament injury in the pre-season trip to Germany with the Town boss telling iFollow Ipswich: “They are all doing well.

“It’s frustrating for Teddy. He was in a really good place before the injury. It was a contact injury so I can accept that more than I can a muscle injury in pre-season.

“The physio and medical guys will give us a guideline on when they are ready to come back in.

“They will need to be ready to take body contact first and when they are back training, they will need a few games before they are ready for the first-team but we have not talked about when that will be.”
