Too early to call on Norwood, Downes and Vincent-Young

Paul Lambert says it’s a waiting game for Town’s injured trio ahead of Sunday’s trip to Accrington.

James Norwood is recovering from the groin operation he had in Germany last week while Kane Vincent-Young [groin] and Flynn Downes [hip] are other concerns for Blues for Sunday’s game, which is being shown live on Sky TV.

“James is still a little tender at the moment,” the Town boss told iFollow Ipswich.

“We will see how he is over the next few days and how quickly it settles down. Knowing James, he will want to play but we will see.

“It’s a waiting game with him and both Kane and Flynn. Kane is lot better and we still have a few more days to go yet and with Flynn, it’s the same.

“Judgey [Alan Judge] is not back with us yet having been away with the Republic of Ireland but everyone else is here now.”

The full interview with Paul will appear on iFollow.
