“The lad has done great for us. He had no pre-season and came in and has been terrific"
Paul Lambert has told the Club website that Town will be speaking to James Wilson about the possibility of extending his stay at Portman Road in the near future.
The 30-year-old defender signed a short term contract until the end of the year having impressed while on trial at the end of pre-season.
James told the Club website this week that he was keen on staying with Blues but no conversations had taken place. Those discussions now look likely to happen very soon.
“I have spoken to Lee [O’Neill, general manager football operations] and I’m sure he will be speaking to James,” Town boss Paul told www.itfc.co.uk.
“The lad has done great for us. He had no pre-season and came in and has been terrific.
“He seems to enjoy it here as well. I’m pretty sure the Club will be speaking to James shortly.”
