Norris, Keane and Nsiala set to feature in Gillingham clash as boss mixes it up

Paul Lambert says he will make several changes to the side that beat Fleetwood for the Trophy game against Gillingham on Tuesday.

Blues will be without Alan Judge, Flynn Downes, Andre Dozzell and Anthony Georgiou who are away on international duty while James Norwood is having surgery on a troublesome groin and Kane Vincent-Young has had a scan after being forced off with a groin problem at half-time during the win over Fleetwood. Armando Dobra is available for the game before joining up with the Albania U19 squad.

“There will be wholesale changes from the team that beat Fleetwood at the weekend. There has to be given the amount of games we will play this season but I trust all the players here to come in and do a job for the team,” the Town boss told the Club website.

“Will Keane, we will see how he is but if he’s okay, there is a good chance he will play. Toto [Nsiala] has done well and he will come back into it and Will [Norris] will play.

“The match is an opportunity for us to give some of the players that need game time a run out; lads that are coming back from injury and we will have some of the younger lads involved as well.”

Kick-off is 7.45pm with supporters reminded that season tickets are not valid for the game. Full ticket details here.
