Skipper on Blues' second defeat of the campaign

Luke Chambers admitted Town didn't do enough as Blues fell to a 2-0 defeat at home to Rotherham under the Portman Road lights.

Paul Lambert's side were hoping to bounce back following Sunday's defeat away to Accrington, but two goals from Matt Crooks in either half saw the Millers take the spoils and Town suffer a second loss in the league this term.

"Quite simply we didn't do enough," the Club captain told iFollow Ipswich.

"The last couple of games we've been a few yards off doing what we were doing really well in the first dozen games or so, and that's very frustrating.

"I felt like we left ourselves quite open tonight, maybe trying to force too much, and they punished us.

"But we need to keep things positive because we're still right up there in the league table so we have to respond.

"Games come thick and fast so we'll put this game behind us and prepare for Saturday. Southend will be looking to bounce back but I know if we're on our game we can win."
