Striker to have groin operation but quick return anticipated
James Norwood will have surgery next week but could be back for Blues’ next League One game at Accrington after the international break.
The striker has been nursing a groin problem and limped off in the second-half of the win at Fleetwood.
“James needs an operation,” Town boss Paul Lambert told the Club website.
“It’s been planned for a while, to get through to the international break. It’s not a major problem, it just needs tidying up and hopefully he will back for the Accrington game.
“The break has come at the right time for us because Kane [Vincent-Young] had to come off with a groin injury as well.”
