“I’m not worried that I didn’t move to a Championship club in the summer because I am 100 per cent sure Ipswich will be a Championship club soon"
Tomas Holy says Town’s long term plan was music to his ears and persuaded him to head to Portman Road from Gillingham in the summer.
The 27-year-old ‘keeper is set to make his first return to Priestfield at the weekend since he left in the summer, with Blues winning the race to sign him.
“When I spoke to Jimmy Walker [goalkeeper coach], he told me the plan here was to get back in the Championship and then try and build from there to maybe push to get in the Premier League in the future,” Tomas told the Club website.
“That was music for my ears. I like to be part of something where there is a plan for moving forward.
“I’m not worried that I didn’t move to a Championship club in the summer because I am 100 per cent sure Ipswich will be a Championship club soon.
“The Club want to get back in the Championship as soon as possible and that is what I want, to test myself at that level.”
