Blues bounce back by beating Bluebirds
Town U18s defeated Cardiff City 3-1 in the Professional Development League Two on Saturday.
Nyan Mesuria netted twice while Elkan Baggott was also on target for Adem Atay's side at Playford Road.
Mesuria broke the deadlock on the quarter-hour mark with a fine free-kick before doubling Blues' advantage six minutes later with a smart finish from just inside the box following a cut back from Ben Wyss.
The hosts added a third in the 25th minute when Baggott poked the ball in from close range after Cardiff had failed to clear their lines following a Town free-kick.
The Bluebirds were stronger in the second half and pulled a goal back when Harry Pinchard's deep cross from the left sailed over Blues 'keeper Jake Alley and into the net via the far post.
Town comfortably held on to secure the three points, though, and now sit third in the PDL2 league table.
U18s: Alley, Wyss, Baggott, Alexander, Fehrenbach, Henderson, Curtis (Ruffles 64), Cutbush (Baker 80), Bareck (Reed 59), Gibbs, Mesuria. Unused: Kabongolo, Healy.
