"Tomas has got a massive presence and I was delighted with him"
Paul Lambert said he was happy enough to take the point against Doncaster and had praise for ‘keeper Tomas Holy.
The Town No.1 denied Jon Taylor and Niall Ennis from putting the visitors ahead while James Norwood twice went close for Blues in the goalless draw at Portman Road that kept both clubs’ unbeaten league record intact.
“We didn’t do enough to win the game and I don’t think we deserved to lose it,” the Town boss told iFollow Ipswich.
“They were the better team in the first-half. We were sluggish. In the second- half, we improved a bit and could have nicked it but I’ll take the point.
“If you don’t win it, you don’t lose it. It was another clean sheet and it keeps us unbeaten and right up there.
“Tomas made some big saves for us again. He’s got a massive presence and I was delighted with him.
“Success is always built on the foundations of keeping clean sheets and being strong at the back and that’s three clean sheets on the trot now so that’s really pleasing.
“We weren’t at our best but it could prove to be a good point in the end. It was a tough afternoon but we got something to show from it.”
