"Your donation is helping to save lives” say Air Ambulance charity

The East Anglian Air Ambulance’s PPE Appeal has been boosted by over £1500 thanks to Town fans.

The charity are the Club’s back of shirt partner for the 2019/20 season with their name appearing on the first-team shirts.

Supporters were able to purchase the logo for their own replica shirts, with all proceeds given to the EAAA and that donation is now being used to help combat the Covid-19 pandemic.

“It was a huge honour to be chosen by Ipswich Town Football Club as their back of the shirt partner and it has given our charity, and our frontline crew, incredible recognition for the hard work that they do saving lives,” Sophie Williams, Community Fundraising Manager at East Anglian Air Ambulance, told the Club website.

“Ipswich Town have also supported us in our mission to get more people trained in life-saving CPR skills, for which we are very thankful for.

“Due to the Covid-19 pandemic we are saddened not to have been able to enjoy the end of the season with Ipswich Town but are incredibly grateful to receive this donation at a time when so many of our fundraising events have been cancelled or postponed and our crews are working harder than ever to respond to 999 calls during this challenging time and support the NHS.

“A huge thank you to everyone who chose to have EAAA on their Ipswich Town shirt, your donation is helping to save lives.”

Dan Palfrey, PR manager at the Club, added: “It has been great working with East Anglian Air Ambulance this season and we will continue to work with them going forwards.

“The money raised from our supporters is going directly to their PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) Appeal which will help combat Covid-19.”

Town's 2020/21 first-team shirts will carry a message of thanks to the NHS on the back.
