Costly mistakes but overall a positive performance says Huws

Emyr Huws considered Town's 4-1 defeat to West Ham to be a flattering scoreline, but admitted Blues need to cut mistakes from their game.

Four goals in five second-half minutes did the damage for the Hammers in Town's third pre-season outing.

"I think it was flattering to be honest," the Welsh midfielder told iFollow Ipswich.

"We were a touch sloppy in the second half but performance wise, if you take the mistakes away, I thik we'll be fairly happy.

"Of course mistakes are a huge part so that can't continue, but asided from that we're looking in good shape.

"We created plenty of chances and nullified them for large parts of the game. We're looking to play a certain way, and you can see signs of it on the pitch."
