LAMBERT | SQUAD SIZE NEEDS TO BE MANAGEABLE

23 August 2020

Loan moves an option for Town youngsters says boss

Paul Lambert has said that Town will consider letting some players leave on loan this summer, in order to create a manageable squad.

Twenty three players featured for Town at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium yesterday afternoon, with the likes of Emyr Huws, James Norwood, James Wilson and Oli Hawkins all watching on from the stands as well.

"I think we have to look at players going out on loan," the Blues boss told the Club website.

"You can't pick everybody so it will be considered.

"I've told the lads before that they have to give us a selection problem. There are positives in terms of how we're playing so they're well aware of that.

"But we have to get a squad that’s manageable so we'll need to bring it down a bit. Maybe some of the younger players could go on loan."
