Winger not available for Posh fixture
Keanan Bennetts will miss tomorrow's trip to Peterborough with a groin problem, Paul Lambert has confirmed.
The winger was withdrawn at half-time in Tuesday night's 2-1 victory over Burton at Portman Road.
Keanan is also a doubt for the festive fixtures against Northampton (26, December) and AFC Wimbledon (29, December) while the trip to Posh comes too soon for Gwion Edwards, Jon Nolan and Freddie Sears - the latter returning to training at the end of last week.
"He’ll [Keanan] miss it with a groin problem," Paul told the Club website. "I think he'll be a few weeks. He’s not played a lot at Gladbach [parent club Borussia Monchengladbach]. He’s got speed and he’s dynamic. He’s explosive.
"Even against Plymouth he changed the dynamic of the game. The more game time he was playing, the better he was becoming so it’s unfortunate.
"It’s crazy at the minute. I’ve never known anything like this.
"Gwion is not ready at the minute. Nolo [Nolan] is doing alright but I think this one wil be too early for him as well. Freddie has just started at the tail end of last week and a little bit of this week.
"He’s just come back from a hamstring problem so we’ve got to watch him and be careful that he doesn’t do any more damage."
An interview with Paul will be available to view on iFollow Ipswich later on today.
