One step closer to return of exciting full-back

Kane Vincent-Young is set to join the first-team squad in full training on Monday, Paul Lambert has confirmed.

The Town full-back is yet to feature this season due to an achilles issue while a groin, injury saw him sidelined last season.

KVY last played for Blues in the pre-season friendlies at two of his former sides, Colchester and Tottenham.

"Hopefully he starts with us on Monday," Paul told iFollow Ipswich.

"He’s a big player and we need him back. We need everybody back because it’s been gruelling.

"Hopefully he’ll come through fine from everything on Monday."

Kane could make his long-awaited return to the side before the turn of the year.

Paul, meanwhile, also confirmed that Toto Nsiala (hamstring) and Brett McGavin (illness) trained on Thursday ahead of Saturday's trip to Plymouth.
