KEANAN | LOOKING TO BUILD ON LAST WEEK'S WIN

11 December 2020

"It'll be my first game for the Club in front of home supporters so I'm really looking forward to it"

Keanan Bennetts said Town must back up last week's win over Plymouth with a positive performance and result against Portsmouth this weekend.

Two thousand fans will be in attendance for the visit of Pompey on Saturday afternoon, with Blues looking to build on a comeback victory in Devon last time out.

"It was really important we got the win last weekend," the winger told iFollow Ipswich.

"We needed it to get back on track and now we need to carry that momentum forward with a good display against Portsmouth in front of our fans.

"It was a nice moment to have fans back in the stadium last weekend but the main one we're looking forward to is tomorrow's game because they'll be our supporters.

"They should give us a boost. It'll be my first game for the Club in front of home supporters so I'm really looking forward to it.

"There were a lot of positives to take from the Cup game against Portsmouth last month. It didn't go our way but we can't be disappointed with the performance. We'll be aiming to go one better this time around and get the three points, but we approach it with the same mentality."
