Rampant Blues cruise to three points at home
Town U23s beat Swansea City 5-1 at Playford Road this afternoon.
The young Blues faced Swansea in a Professional Development League Two clash, with Janoi Donacien featuring for Kieron Dyer's side.
A Zak Brown brace as well as efforts from Fraser Alexander, Elkan Baggott and Trialist saw the hosts to a comfortable victory.
Town's five goals came in a 14-minute period either side of half-time and it was Brown that opened the scoring with a neat header in the 36th minute.
Dyer's men soon had their second as Alexander found the back of the net with a smart effort.
And in the dying stages of the first half it was three. Brown stepped up following a foul in the penalty area and casually converted from the spot.
Three minutes after the restart Baggott bagged Blues' fourth and in the 50th minute a Town trialist made it five.
Swansea pulled one back 12 minutes from time but the damage was well and truly done either side of the interval.
The three points takes Town up to second in the PDL2 South table, with 20 points from 11 games.
The U23s are next in action when they face Charlton Athletic away from home on 21 December.
