Edwards suspended for Black Cats and Wombles tests
Gwion Edwards said he is frustrated to be missing Town's meeting with Sunderland on Saturday.
The Blues wing-back picked up his 10th yellow card of the season against Peterborough at Portman Road, and will therefore be suspended for the trips to Sunderland and AFC Wimbledon - starting with the clash at the Stadium of Light this weekend.
"To be honest I think the one on Saturday [against Peterborough] was a bit soft but it's done now," Gwion said.
"I didn't really touch him and it's cost me two games. Of course some of the cautions I have picked up have been deserved, but some have been harsh in my opinion.
"It's very frustrating because we lost against Peterborough and Rotherham so need to respond against Sunderland. I wanted to play my part because I've had a good run of games and think I've been doing quite well recently, but we have players to come in.
"I've been settling in to the wing-back role which adds to the frustration. Every player wants a run of games and I think I've been performing more consistently in recent weeks.
"But I won't be available for the next two so the manager will pick his team and I'll be cheering the lads on. I'll also be making sure I'm ready to go, if selected, once I've served my suspension."
