“The support we have received from the manager and players has been fantastic"
The ITFC Community Trust has made an impact around the county quicker than could be expected says head of the Trust, Jason Curtis.
Saturday’s game against Burton has been designated Community Trust Day with supporters encouraged to make a donation of a £1 to the charitable arm of the Club in the ‘bring a pound to the ground’ campaign.
The Trust was re-launched in August and could not have gone any better, with Jason saying in an interview in Saturday’s matchday programme: “It’s gone a long way very quickly, quicker than we expected.
“We’re hitting targets and over-achieving in some aspects already. We’re working with around 6,000 children and vulnerable adults per week.
“It’s been fantastic. The response from the community across those sectors, when Ipswich Town Community Trust was re-branded and re-launched, has been phenomenal.
“The support we have received from the manager and players has been fantastic as well. It’s really helped generate a feel good factor wherever we go.”
There is a four-page spotlight on the Trust in the matchday programme, along with an in-depth interview with Luke Woolfenden; Paul Lambert’s exclusive column; positives and negatives with Janoi Donacien plus much more.
