Unbelievable footballer but he has to stay fit and justify that tag says Paul
Paul Lambert says Teddy Bishop has unbelievable ability but he must justify that tag by staying fit.
The 23-year-old midfielder has been hindered by injury over the last three years and missed the first half of this season with a knee ligament problem sustained in the pre-season trip to Germany.
He returned to action at the turn of the year and has made six substitute appearances in the League One campaign, including a 20 minute run out against Oxford last week.
“Bish is a different type of player to what we have in the squad,” the Town boss told iFollow Ipswich.
“He is an unbelievable footballer. The boy has loads of talent but injuries have kept him back. He has to start justifying that talent tag.
“He has to stay fit. I won’t be the first manager that has said that here. He has got to be mentally strong as well to get through it.
“He can make a big impact on a football pitch but he can only do that if he’s out there. He can’t do it from the stands.”
