“The good news is that it’s not as bad as we first feared" says boss
Luke Garbutt has been ruled out of Saturday’s trip to Sunderland with a thigh injury.
The Everton loanee was forced off in the first-half of last week’s defeat against Peterborough and looks likely to miss Tuesday’s game at AFC Wimbledon as well.
“The good news is that it’s not as bad as we first feared with Luke,” the Town boss told iFollow Ipswich.
“He’s definitely out for Sunderland and Tuesday is probably too early as well. We’ll see but he won’t be out for long.
“It’s a blow because he’s been great for us. I’ve been really happy with his performances. He’s scored goals and has got a few assists as well. It’s disappointing not to have him available but that’s football and it gives someone else a chance.”
Teddy Bishop also misses out with a knee injury but Josh Earl may return after sustaining a blow to his cheekbone during training that kept him out of the defeats by Rotherham and Peterborough.
