Team bonding session sees senior squad try their luck at escape room challenges

Town's senior squad and first-team staff visited Escape Ipswich yesterday afternoon as part of a team bonding session.

Following on from their usual training at Playford Road in the morning, Paul Lambert and his group tried their luck at six different escape rooms - Contagion, The Da Vinci Room, Sub Zero, Taken, Casino Heist and Locked Inn.

Groups of up to six are locked in a room for 60 minutes, with teamwork and communication required to crack codes, solve problems and hopefully escape within the time limit.

"There isn't that long to go in the season and we wanted to get the lads together, off the training pitch, for a different type of team bonding," first-team coach Matt Gill told the Club website.

"My group of six managed to escape and it was really enjoyable to see the lads in a different environment.

"After Saturday's win we've been working hard in training so it was nice to come here for a couple of hours. Doing something like this lets you see other characteristics in the lads and I think we all enjoyed it.

"Escape Ipswich were fantastic hosts and I'd definitely recommend taking on one of their challenges."
