Town to face Podolski and co in Germany six-a-side event for charity
Town are taking part in a prestigious indoor football tournament in Germany tomorrow, with money raised from the event going to local charities.
The Schauinsland-Reisen Cup in Gummersbach will take place on Sunday, 12 January with Blues joining Bundesliga teams, with the event also including TV, music and sports celebrities.
Former Germany international striker Lukas Podolski plays a leading role in the tournament, which runs under the slogan ‘Kick for Charity’, and will feature in action.
After the main tournament, a celebrity event will follow with all the proceeds of the day going to organisations that look after children and adolescents.
