Morris, Andoh and Simpson on target for Young Blues
Town U23s beat Norwich City 3-1 in a behind-closed-doors friendly at Playford Road this afternoon.
Ben Morris, Levi Andoh and Tyreece Simpson were on target as Gerard Nash and Chris Hogg's side secured a comfortable victory.
The deadlock was broken in the 33rd minute as Morris took a low pass in his stride before comfortably slotting the ball into the bottom corner.
Norwich levelled just a few minutes after half-time, though, after Andoh gave away a penalty. The penalty was saved but the rebound was tucked away.
Town created the better chances in the second half and finally restored their lead six minutes from time. Idris El Mizouni's corner was met by Andoh who headed the ball down and into the net.
Simpson made sure of the victory in the dying stages with a fierce left-footed drive that nestled in the bottom corner.
