“When I do get my chance at number 10, it’s up to me to keep myself in there.”

Alan Judge hopes that he can build on his impressive performance at Wycombe by securing the number 10 position for Town.

Jon Nolan has featured regularly in the attacking midfielder role, while the returning Teddy Bishop provides Paul Lambert with another option going forward.

He told iFollow Ipswich: "I think the big difference was that when I was in that position, I was getting into goalscoring positions which I haven’t been doing. I definitely should’ve scored at least one.

"If that continues, I’m delighted. I’ll be happy with that. But if not, I’ll kick on and keep going.

"Teddy [Bishop] is coming back. He’s [Lambert] obviously preferred Nolo [Jon Nolan] at the moment in that number 10 position. He’s preferred me playing out on the left.

"When I do get my chance at number 10, which I did last week, it’s up to me to keep myself in there."
