Important information for those who purchased match tickets for the eight games not played at end of 2019/20
Town will refund close on 2500 match tickets after the Club’s 2019/20 season was curtailed early.
Blues had eight League One games left to play - five at home plus the visits to Bristol Rovers, Shrewsbury and Doncaster before the COVID-19 pandemic brought the campaign to a halt in early March.
A vote amongst the 23 League One clubs went against Town’s ambitions to finish the season on the pitch so the Club will now refund all individual match tickets purchased for those eight games.
A refund is one of the three options available to purchasers. The options are:-
Receive a full refund back to the payment card that was used for making the purchase.
Leave the refund as credit of the same value to be added to your online account to be redeemed against a ticketing product such as future match tickets, memberships, payment towards a season ticket. *T&C’s apply.
If you would rather donate the money to be used by the Club for the ITFC Community Trust and the Academy, then please email the Club to confirm that. Any donation will obviously be gratefully received by the Club in what we fully appreciate is a financially challenging time for all, including Ipswich Town.
Supporters are asked to email the Ticket Office as soon as possible and before 5pm on June 29 with their choice, stating clearly whether they would like a refund, credit to their account or to donate to the Club’s Community Trust and Academy. Please remember to include the customer number that the tickets were purchased under.
The email address is firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please note that the ticket office telephone line or club shop will not be open for this process, it is via email only.
The deadline to take up one of the three options is 5pm June 29 as the Club is switching to a new ticketing partner, SeatGeek, from July 1. If the Club doesn’t receive refund requests by then, option 3 will be applied.
The Club has already contacted those who booked matchday hospitality for any of the games missed.
Compensation options for season ticket holders will be published early in July while all seasonal commercial clients will be contacted directly by the Club in due course outlining the compensation options available.
