18-year-old striker pens deal until 2022

Tyreece Simpson has signed his first professional contract at Portman Road.

The young striker has put pen to paper on a deal until the summer of 2022 with the option of an extra year.

He told iFollow Ipswich: "I'm delighted for me and my family. I've got to keep pushing forward from here.

"I want to stick around the first-team and get as many minutes as possible before the end of the season."

Tyreece made his senior debut in the Trophy against Tottenham U21 in September, coming off the bench in a 2-1 win for Blues.

He then made his league debut at the weekend against Blackpool, replacing Will Keane with six minutes to go at Bloomfield Road.
