Blues defender on controversial Cup defeat
Janoi Donacien thought Town were hard done by in this afternoon's 3-2 defeat to Portsmouth at Portman Road.
A 111th-minute goal saw Pompey progress to the second round of the FA Cup, with replays showing the scorer Sean Raggett to be offside.
Blues also felt they should have had a penalty in the second half of regular time - Oli Hawkins being dragged to the ground by Rasmus Nicolaisen.
"It's the toughest one I've had to take in a while," the Town defender told iFollow Ipswich.
"We fought well to come back and then at the end we just felt like there was nothing we could do.
"I had a good view of the challenge on Oli in the second half as well. It was a clear penalty, he dragged him down - you could even hear it.
"When you don't get that decision you're not surprised at what happens at the end to be honest.
"It's a real shame."
