Suspension stands with Dozzell to miss three games
The FA has rejected the Club’s appeal to have Andre Dozzell’s red card against Sunderland rescinded.
The Town midfielder was sent off by referee Peter Wright for a foul on Grant Leadbitter during Blues’ defeat at the Stadium of Light on Tuesday.
The Club provided video footage of the incident in the appeal but the Football Association’s Regulatory Commission decided that the red card should stand.
Andre will now serve a three-match ban which will see him miss Saturday’s FA Cup first round tie against Portsmouth at Portman Road and the League One games against Shrewsbury and Hull, also played at home. He is available for the EFL Trophy trip to Crawley next week as the competition is not included in the suspension.
