"If we can pick up a good number of points in the next three then we can take that into the new month"
Jack Lankester hopes that Town can go into the Christmas period on the back of positive results from a run of three home games inside a week.
Town return to League One action on Saturday against Shrewsbury before hosting Hull in midweek and Charlton on the following weekend.
The 20-year-old midfielder, who is the feature interview in Saturday's programme, says that a trio of fixtures at Portman Road present a chance to build momentum.
"It’s a big week for us," he told the matchday programme. "If we can pick up a good number of points in the next three then we can take that into the new month. There is still a long way to go but confidence and momentum are huge.
"We take it one game at a time but when you get three home games in a row you do look at those fixtures as a bit of a group. They’re all hard games.
"I know Shrewsbury are near the bottom of the table but they’ll be fighting for every point and we will go into every game respecting the opposition but looking to do a job on them.
"You always want to take as many points as possible and we’re playing against a couple of teams that are up near the top so it’s very important for us."
