"It's always nice to get a late winner and I think the boys showed good determination"
Jack Lankester said it was a case of being in the right place at the right time as he headed Town to victory in the 96th minute this afternoon.
Alan Judge's strike was palmed away by Harry Burgoyne, but Jack lunged forward and headed into the corner from close range to snatch a 2-1 victory for Blues against Shrewsbury.
Paul Lambert's side had fallen behind in the early stages - Mark McGuinness tripping Shaun Whalley in the box before Oliver Norburn converted from the penalty spot.
"It's always nice to get a late winner and I think the boys showed good determination today," Jack told iFollow Ipswich.
"When you concede early it makes things hard so it takes characters to get back in it.
"Patience is key and things worked out in the end. I love getting goals but most importantly want them to come in games that we win.
"It was a great moment - I was in the right place at the right time. We will look at areas to improve but it was a big game to win and it gives us a good start to the week with two more tough home games coming up."
