"If we can keep solid defensively then we will be absolutely fine when we do have the ball"
James Wilson believes that if he and his colleagues can keep up their impressive record at the back, then everything in front of them will take care of itself.
As well as being top of League One at this early stage, Town boast the best goal difference in the third tier having conceded just twice in five outings this term.
Willo, who has played every minute of the League campaign so far alongside Toto Nsiala at the heart of Town's defence, wants Blues' backline to improve further still.
"I’m enjoying the way we’re going about things," the centre-back told the matchday programme for Saturday's Accrington game.
"We’re looking pretty good at the back as well. Again, there are things to improve on but things have been encouraging so far. Toto [Nsiala] and I both like defending so things are going well there, but as a unit the whole team has defended well and that benefits everyone.
"They’re [the midfielders] all so good on the ball regardless of who plays. They’re probably the best I’ve played with in front of me. If we can keep solid defensively then we will be absolutely fine when we do have the ball."
The full interview with Willo can be found in the matchday programme for Saturday's home fixture with Accrington Stanley.
Saturday’s programme also features Arnold Muhren looking back back on 1980/81, Oli Hawkins taking on 'The Best Of' challenge and Paul Lambert's thoughts on his team’s start to the season.
