PAUL | QUALITY GOALS

10 October 2020

"What a strike that was from Chambers and it's very encouraging that goals are coming from all over the pitch"

Paul Lambert was particularly impressed with the quality of goals as Town cruised to a 4-1 win over Blackpool at Bloomfield Road this afternoon.

Luke Chambers opened the scoring with a stunning strike from the edge of the box, with a lovely left-footed finish from Teddy Bishop then sandwiched between two low finishes from Gwion Edwards.

The three points in Lancashire saw Blues to the top of the League One table - with Town now the only unbeaten team in the division after five matches.

"I thought we were incredible, particularly in the first half," Paul told iFollow Ipswich.

"The goals we scored were brilliant and we looked comfortable.

"The guys are confident and in good form. We dealt with a little spell at the start of the second half but never looked in trouble.

"What a strike that was from Chambers and it's very encouraging that goals are coming from all over the pitch."
