Paul on defeat to Doncaster

Paul Lambert thought Town didn't deserve to pick up any points at the Keepmoat Stadium tonight.

Blues fell to a 4-1 defeat in South Yorkshire with two goals in each half doing the damage for Donny.

An own goal had initially put Town in front as the visitors looked bright in the opening 25 minutes before the hosts took control.

"It was a disappointing night," the Blues boss told iFollow Ipswich.

"We started strongly and were moving the ball around really well, but we didn't respond to their goals how I'd liked us to have done.

"Second half they were better than us, we hold our hands up but what's most important is how we react.

"You get results like this in football sometimes so we need to learn from it and be better on Saturday against Lincoln."
