Good news on Nolan ahead of Stanley meeting

Jon Nolan will be back in contention for tomorrow's home game with Accrington, Paul Lambert has confimed.

The midfielder was left out of last week's 4-1 win victory at Blackpool as a precaution after picking up a calf strain but will return to bolster Town's options in the middle of the park.

Saturday's Accrington game is likely to come too soon for Stephen Ward however, who went off with an achilles problem in the draw at MK Dons earlier this month.

"Nolo is ok," Paul told iFollow Ipswich. "He's back which is good for us because he's been playing really well.

"We're still down to the bare-bones of picking a squad but Emyr [Huws] came in and did well. Nolo coming back is a big plus for us.

"The other lads are still out longer term but they're doing well. They're doing a lot better so hopefully in the next few weeks we'll get some of them back."
