Blues to learn second round and potential third round opponents in televised draw
Town will be ball number 11 in the southern section of Sunday's [6, September] Carabao Cup second round draw.
Blues booked their place in the second round courtesy of a 3-0 victory over Bristol Rovers at Portman Road, a Freddie Sears brace sandwiching a header from captain Luke Chambers.
The draw for the second and third round will be televised by Sky Sports at approximately 2pm, following the conclusion of the televised tie between Brentford and Wycombe.
As with the first round, the draw will be regionalised but unseeded while the 13 Premier League sides not playing in Europe will join Bournemouth and Watford as the new teams in the hat.
Once the round two draw has been completed, the round three draw will then take place with each tie given a number corresponding to the order that they came out in the round two draw.
The third round draw will also be unseeded with the remaining seven Premier League clubs entering the competition at that stage.
Second round ties are due to be played on 15/16 September, the midweek following Town's League One opener against Wigan.
Paul Lambert's side are one of 24 teams in the round two southern section draw, with the full ball numbers list below.
