HAWKINS | A DESERVED WIN

26 September 2020

"In wet and windy conditions I thought it was a good performance"

Oli Hawkins thought Town deserved the three points as they overcame Rochdale with a 2-0 win at Portman Road this afternoon.

The Blues forward recorded an assist as Teddy Bishop opened the scoring before Gwion Edwards grabbed Town's second.

"It was a great win for the boys," he said.

"That's three wins and three clean sheets in a row in the League. It's a brilliant start.

"In wet and windy conditions I thought it was a good performance. We were made to wait but we got the goals in the end.

"Obviously I'd have liked to have got on the scoresheet but the main thing is I'm getting in those areas and getting chances. It was a brilliant save by their 'keeper in the first half. I'm confident the goals will come."
