"We've conceded some early goals in games so to do the opposite today was brilliant"
Luke Chambers said results are far more important than performances at this stage of the season after overcoming Bristol Rovers this afternoon.
Town stayed within touching distance of the play-offs with a 2-1 victory over The Gas, with two early goals doing the business for Paul Cook's side.
The three points means Blues are now two points off the play-off places with nine games remaining this term.
"It's an important win because we haven't had the results we wanted recently," Chambo told iFollow Ipswich.
"It wasn't one of our best performances but at this stage of the season we just need results.
"We got off to a great start and I think we got into some good areas. We've conceded some early goals in games so to do the opposite today was brilliant. You can't ask for a better start than that and Judgey took his goal well at the second time of asking.
"I think we could have controlled the game a bit better in the second half, but as I said, results are more important than performances right now."
