WOOLFY ON ADDICKS ASSIGNMENT

16 April 2021

"I want to be out there because I need to show the gaffer that I want to be in his thoughts going forward"

Luke Woolfenden said Town need to recapture their defensive form and forget about Tuesday's defeat to AFC Wimbledon.

Blues let in three at Plough Lane last time out, but had conceded just one goal in four games before the clash in South London.

"We need to get back to being solid," the Town defender said.

"Wimbledon aside we've been strong defensively, but we obviously want to create more going forward.

"I've enjoyed being back in the team and I am more than happy to play right-back if it means getting game time.

"I'm athletic enough to get up and down the pitch and I want to be out there because I need to show the gaffer that I want to be in his thoughts going forward.

"Charlton will no doubt be a challenge for us tomorrow. On paper it's our toughest game but this league is bizarre. We want to focus on ourselves but we know they will try and use the ball well and utilise the big man up front."

A reminder that tomorrow's match at The Valley kicks off at 12.30pm.
