"We have to be positive and take the good bits forward, while improving in other areas"
Matt Gill said Town put in a better performance in this afternoon's draw with MK Dons, but admitted that Blues need to 'take more care' in the final third of the pitch.
Stalemate against The Dons saw Paul Cook's side record back-to-back 0-0 draws after also playing out a goalless draw with Rochdale on Monday.
"We were better and today was a tough game against good opposition," Town's first-team coach told iFollow Ipswich.
"Yes we lack a bit of quality in the final third, and that's an area where we need to take more care, but I think that will come.
"There were chances for both teams today. We've looked pretty solid defensively so we want that to continue but we need to add the quality and care going forward.
"Aaron [Drinan] worked his socks off and Dobs [Armando Dobra] had a free role in behind and looked dangerous so that gives us another option going forward.
"It's a case of taking the point and turning to Tuesday. We have to be positive and take the good bits forward, while improving in other areas."
