Pain to come but smiles will return to Town says Paul in plea to Blue Army

Paul Cook has urged Blues fans to stay with the Club over the rest of the season and says the sunshine will start to come through again at Portman Road.

The Town boss has made it clear that there will be plenty of changes ahead over the coming weeks, with a number of senior players out of contract at the end of the season.

Goalkeeping coach Jimmy Walker left the Club yesterday and Paul confirmed that Alan Judge is also moving on when he spoke to iFollow Ipswich ahead of Saturday’s visit to Charlton - with more tough decisions ahead.

“It’s been a painful couple of days with people leaving the Club but that is the start of what’s to come,” said Paul.

“There is going to be some unhappiness at the Club over the next few weeks because the changes are coming.

“There will be more pain, there has to be more pain but all I would say to our supporters is to stay with us for the rest of the season because once that pain goes, the sunshine will start to come through this summer at our club.”
