"When you look at the pedigree they have in this industry, it makes me quite excited"
Paul Cook said Town's new owners bring "optimism and freshness" with them.
The news of a takeover broke last week, with the Blues boss adding that his first impressions and early discussions with the new owners and the new chairman have been very good.
"Firstly whatever Marcus [Evans] does next, I wish him the very best," Paul said.
"I've spoken to Mike O'Leary [chairman] and he is a very good guy and a very good football person. I think these are exciting times for the Club.
"They bring optimism and freshness with them and over a period of time we will see and hear from the new owners much more and that's great.
"We all have total commitment to taking Ipswich Town forward which is what everyone wants.
"They've got a real strong pedigree in football and sport. With the greatest respect to football owners today, when you look at the pedigree they have in this industry, it makes me quite excited. I've got to tell you that.
"My job will be to deliver the success that the owners crave, that the supporters crave and that everyone craves, including myself."
