"It’s out there and we’ve all got to do as much as we can to make sure we’re offering avenues of help and support"
Blues boss Paul Cook complimented Luke Thomas for seeking help regarding his mental health.
The 23-year-old, who is on loan at Town from Barnsley, revealed last week that he had taken some time away from the game for personal reasons.
"I’m absolutely delighted for Luke that he’s gone and sought help,” Paul said.
"There are people out there suffering, and we all know there are a lot of people, so it's good to see the work of helplines and their availability to help people with problems.
“We’ve seen in the football world with a couple of young men taking their own lives, it’s so sad, leaving families and kids behind.
“It’s something that none of us want, but it’s out there and we’ve all got to do as much as we can to make sure we’re offering avenues of help and support.
"It's good for Luke going forward, and, hopefully soon, we'll see him on the pitch smiling and playing football."
