Morris, Chirewa and Humphreys on target for Kieron Dyer's side
Town U23s scored twice in the final five minutes to secure their first victory of the Professional Development League Two campaign at Crewe.
Town began on top and were inches away from opening the scoring on 19 minutes as Tawanda Chirewa saw his deflected effort rebound off the post.
Cameron Humphreys had a glancing header saved before the Blues moved in front, Ben Morris turning his marker to slot into the back of the net.
Zanda Siziba came close to adding a second just before half-time but his curling effort from 20 yards fell narrowly wide.
Siziba saw a well-struck effort saved after the restart before Albie Armin volleyed over the top of the frame at the back post following a corner.
Crewe levelled midway through the second half but Chirewa found the bottom corner from 18 yards to regain Town's lead with five minutes remaining.
Humphreys converted a free-kick from 20 yards to seal the victory in the dying moments.
