New chapter for Club set to start in front of bumper crowd but supporters urged to give plenty of time on arrival
Town are closing in on a crowd of around 20,000 for the visit of Morecambe on Saturday as the new Gamechanger era gets underway in earnest.
Ticket sales are well over the 17,000 mark and interest in being at Portman Road for the first League One game of the campaign continues to be frantic.
It will be also be the first League game at the stadium without a restricted attendance since March 2020 and it's sure to be a special atmosphere.
Below, supporters are advised of the protocols to follow that will help everyone enjoy the game in a safe environment, and with the necessary Covid checks to take place, fans are strongly advised to get to Portman Road EARLY.
The game is ALL TICKET, meaning you cannot purchase a ticket on the turnstiles.
Ticket sales are all print at home, with online sales only running until midday on Saturday.
You will have a recommended entry time on your match ticket, please try and stick to this time as this will help with the flow of supporters. It is only a guide though and you will not be denied entry if you miss your time slot.
Whoever purchases a ticket for the game under their name - whether season ticket or match ticket - must take full responsibility for providing Test and Trace information if needed. This applies even if they pass their ticket onto someone else to use or make multiple ticket purchases.
The ticket office phone lines (03330 050530) are open from 10am until midday on Saturday. They’re also contactable on email via email@example.com.
The home ticket office on Portman Road and away ticket office on Constantine Road will be open from 1pm for any ticketing enquiries. The disabled entrance on Constantine Road will open from midday.
ENTERING THE STADIUM
Any person aged 11 or over will either be required to provide proof of a NHS negative lateral flow test (no longer than 48 hours prior to the event) or proof of full vaccination (with the second dose administered at least 14 days before the relevant match). The Club will not accept actual lateral flow test sticks as proof.
The Club will also accept vaccine cards or a photo of the card as proof of double vaccination. You may be asked to provide photographic ID (passport, driving license) as well. A bank card will be accepted as proof of ID if no photo ID available.
Please note that children under the age of 13 years will not need ID but their accompanying parent or guardian will have to validate their details.
Mobile testing units will be in place around the stadium in Portman Road and Alderman Park. Please be advised that test results can take around 30 minutes to be processed.
Please avoid bringing large bags into the stadium and only do so if absolutely necessary. This will help avoid slowing down the stadium entry process.
Supporters must not attend if they are suffering from Covid-19 symptoms, are feeling unwell, have been asked to self isolate, or if they have been in close contact recently with anyone experiencing symptoms or who has tested positive. In the event you develop Covid-19 symptoms whilst at the stadium, please notify the nearest member of Club staff immediately.
Face coverings are mandatory in indoor areas such as the concourses and toilets etc. Whilst not mandatory within the stadium bowl, spectators are strongly encouraged to wear face coverings in all outdoor spectator settings, including seats. We ask all those attending to show respect to ITFC staff and fellow supporters in regard to this matter.
Maintain good hand hygiene at all times around the stadium. Use the sanitiser dispensers provided and avoid touching your face, or handles and railings whenever possible.
When moving past others, to and from your seat, please avoid face to face contact and follow stewards’ instruction
