"Lee’s a model pro, and he’s a good lad"
Lee Evans will wear the captain's armband in tomorrow's season-opener at Portman Road, Paul Cook has confirmed.
The Blues begin their 2021/22 campaign at home to Morecambe tomorrow afternoon, with a crowd of over 20,000 expected to be in attendance for the first competitive fixture without capacity restrictions since March 2020.
Midfielder Lee, who reunited with his former manager Paul in moving to Suffolk this summer, has previously led out the side for pre-season fixtures.
"Lee Evans is captaining the side," confirmed the Town boss.
"Lee’s a model pro, and he’s a good lad. There’s no problem with Lee Evans captaining the club.
"When we go on the pitch, we need 11 captains, we need substitutes who are captains."
