Blues surprise visit for vulnerable fan
Manager Paul Cook and CEO Mark Ashton surprised Town fan, Mason Milne earlier this afternoon by personally handing him his season ticket at Portman Road as part of EFL’s Season Launch.
Mason falls into the clinically vulnerable group as he has a condition called Crohn’s disease and autism, meaning Mason and his family have had an extremely tough 18 months shielding.
Despite this, Mason and his parents have renewed their season tickets for the upcoming season and can’t wait to be back.
After surprising Mason with his season ticket, Paul and Mark took Mason onto the hallowed turf at Portman Road to get some photos in the centre circle, before finishing off in the dugout where Paul takes his seat on a matchday.
The EFL Season Launch is usually hosted at an EFL club, but with Covid-19 still prevalent, it was decided that clubs would run their own engagement with supporters with the main focus on supporters finally returning.
