"He's raring to go and comes straight into the fold"
Paul Cook said new signing Cameron Burgess will start at Cheltenham on Tuesday night.
The 25-year-old defender became Town's 15th summer arrival when he put pen to paper on a three-year deal at Portman Road earlier today, and Paul believes he brings valuable qualities to the squad.
Standing at 6'4", the left-footed centre-half won more aerial battles than any other League One defender last season.
"We're really pleased to have Cameron with us," Paul told the Club website.
"He offers strength and physicality in both boxes and that is something we have been missing slightly.
"Cameron has good experience in the game but is also at a good age. He can bring a balance to the defence and back line with his left foot and style.
"He's raring to go and comes straight into the fold. He will start on Tuesday night."
