Centre-half absent but attacking midfielder set to start season opener

Paul Cook said that Scott Fraser will be in his starting XI against Morecambe at Portman Road tomorrow.

The midfielder, who joined the Club from MK Dons last month and had been struggling with a knock, will start his second game in a Town shirt when The Shrimps make the long journey to Suffolk on Saturday afternoon.

"Scott will start tomorrow, I can tell you that," Paul said.

"He might not be exactly where we want him, having missed a bit of pre-season, but he has great quality.

"He's very clever and we're excited to watch him grow here."

The Town boss also gave an update on central defender George Edmundson, another summer arrival.

"I don't want to put a time frame on his return," he added.

"He's training very well and will be a great asset to the Club. We are very much talking about him coming back sooner rather than later."

A crowd of more than 20,000 is expected at Portman Road tomorrow - tickets are still available here!
