Board of trustees takes further shape
The Club is delighted to announce two new trustees for the Community Trust.
Paige Shorten and Andrew Stevens have joined the board, and follow on from the announcement of Conor Chaplin, Natasha Thomas, Matt Holland, Mark Ashton, Peter Over, Olly Magnus and Dan Palfrey.
Paige works at the Club as the Women’s team technical coach for all age groups including the senior team. Paige previously worked as Joe Sheehan’s assistant manager.
Andrew is CEO of CNet Training, who are the Club’s U23 front of shirt sponsor, and has a long-standing interest and association with Ipswich Town.
The new trustees will provide added structure and vision for Town's community branch, while also strategising the key areas to develop the Club's engagement with the community.
On her appointment, Paige told the Club website: “When I spoke with Mark Ashton and he told me the vision and direction he has for the community side of the Club, it was something I couldn’t wait to be part of.
“I was lucky in my youth that I had a Community Trust that supported me, I know how important it is.”
Andrew also spoke to the Club website and said: “We’ve [CNet Training] been a sponsor of the Club for the last two-and-a-half years. I spoke with Mark Ashton about the mutual views we had on the community and it went from there.
“I look forward to us building a long-term strategy that will help it continue to grow and reach every corner of the community.”
