"It is crucial we have full respect for our opponent, but we also have to implement our game plan"
Conor Chaplin says the FA Cup presents an opportunity for Town to build a winning culture at the Club.
With the Cup now the only other competition the Blues are in this season, the attacking midfielder feels the squad needs to be right up for it and go as deep into the competition as possible.
Standing in Town's way is Barrow, who visit Portman Road for a second round tie tomorrow afternoon.
"We have to approach it like any other game, despite them being a division below," Conor said.
"It is crucial we have full respect for our opponent, but we also have to implement our game plan.
"First and foremost, we have to work hard. This is the only other competition we are in now, so we want to progress.
"We're under no illusions, though, tomorrow will be tough. I've played in big ties in this competition before, and it is a great opportunity for everyone. A place in the third round would be good for the Club.
"Getting the job done and reaching the next round can also help us build a winning culture here. We all want a winning culture here and it is something we need to build because we don't have it yet.
"Everyone wants the Club to have a winning culture - the fans, the players, the staff, the manager - so coming out on top in games, no matter what competition, can only help with that."
"We don't view this competition as a distraction, we view it as an opportunity."
Tickets for tomorrow's fixture remain on sale here, and can also be purchased from the Ticket Office on Constantine Road up until kick-off on the day of the game.
